2007 Blue-Gold FootballWhat Is Blue-Gold
All About
?

This annual football game is the event that launched DFRC more than fifty years ago. It showcases Delaware’s finest high school students who participate as football players, cheerleaders, band members and school ambassadors.

Each senior participant is given the opportunity to take part in DFRC’s Hand-In-Hand Program. Since its start in 1974, this unique program pairs the senior participants with a "Buddy," a person 4-18 years old with a intellectual disability. The buddies build friendships and learn valuable lessons about diversity and acceptance. The Hand-In-Hand Program is the heart of the Blue-Gold experience. Photo credit: E. John Williams for DFRC
